About

I’m an English Writing major at Franciscan University of Steubenville. In my time here, I involved myself with various activities: Cross Country, Track, Household, and I founded the Franciscan university Writers’ Group. I hold the school records in the 55 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay. I’ve played guitar for 8(?) years now and I’m attempting Violin as well. I can also bang on the Cajón if the need arises.

I was recently accepted into Seton Hill University for their MFA program in popular fiction and will be attending there starting in June. Hopefully this will kick-start my writing career and launch me into the publishing world (I can dream right?). Some of the writers who have influenced me are Patrick Rothfuss, Terry Goodkind, and J.R.R Tolkien. If you like my writing, be sure to check them out.

Other cool things about me: I am a photographer for the University Athletics department and I taught the self defense classes on campus.

Photography is a little different. Before I got my first “real” camera I didn’t really follow any photographers. Now, however, I think Humans of New York does a phenomenal job with portrait photography (even if he does use Canon haha).

This blog is meant to be  relaxed with topics ranging from Poetry, Short Stories, Philosophy, Current Events, Politics (oh no), and whatever else enters my head. I hope you find it engaging and informative…or at least mildly comical at some points.

If you have about 30 minutes and want to listen to an interview take a listen below.

Oh yeah, I’m also Catholic and Pro-Life. If anyone has any questions about the Catholic Faith or any questions in general, feel free to email me at riddium1@gmail.com.

  1. Writing a novel is not as hard as one thinks. Just make your inner editor “shut it” and purge the story onto the paper, edit once the story is out of your head and tangible.

And thanks for stopping by my blog. 🙂
